We are a podiatric health technology company that is the inventor, manufacturer and supplier of Sensor Skins, an orthotic sensor membrane for the capture and reporting of critical data relating to the foot health of each of our users. Our product has many uses, but its intended aim is in the early detection of diabetic foot ulcers – the leading contributor to diabetic lower-leg amputations.

Calceus Health’s first product is a self-monitoring skin, which sits over a user’s current orthotic. This skin contains numerous printed sensors which measure pressure, temperature and in a world first, shear friction in a user’s sole. This information is captured and sent via Bluetooth to the user’s mobile device. Calceus Health’s mobile application uses a proprietary calibration algorithm and personalised software interface to produce a tailored alert system to the user, providing notification of increases in pressure, temperature, and shear friction – all potential precursors to foot ulceration.
